Our Story

Every school in Kenya burns firewood. Every morning. In the same smoky, dangerous, inefficient way it has always been done. We believed that was a problem with a solution. So we developed the Jiko-Kul, Kenya’s first locally-manufactured institutional electric pressure cooker. We patented it. We piloted it in Kitui County. We watched cooking times drop from 6 hours to under 1 hour. We watched budgets freed up for learning materials. We watched kitchens become places people actually wanted to work in.

Then the cooker needed clean power. So we built solar systems to power it. Those systems grew into full hybrid hotel installations, water desalination plant solar, borehole pumping systems, and commercial bakery energy solutions. And along the way we added ovens, boilers, vegetable processors because institutions need the full system, not just one piece.

Feion Green Ventures is what happens when you refuse to solve just part of the problem. We are not a cooker company with a solar side-hustle. We are not a solar company that happens to sell cookers. We are a clean energy systems company and cooking was, is, and will always be, where we started.
